In order to promote the continuous and rapid development of UAV, this paper takes the Xiaoshan District of Hangzhou as an example and analyzes the application performance and statistics. The application performance is 16.22 and 74.6 times of the reverse and manual sprayer, saving 26.42% the pesticide usage. UAVs (with gasoline generators) can save 37.5% gasoline. It has economic benefits with an annual return on investment of 30.16%. However, there are also some improvements in UAV and pharmaceutical technology to be made, including poor plant protection effect of some base pests, low subsidy proportion in most areas, etc. It should pay more attention to UAV development.
