Special Issue: Agricultural information sensing and controlling technologies

With the deep integration of the new generation of information technology and agriculture, agriculture has entered a new era of digitalization and intelligence. Integrated application of information technologies such as sensors, machine learning and Internet of things in specific agricultural production scenarios such as intelligent farms and greenhouses, enables managers to carry out accurate agricultural information perception, scientific quantitative decision-making, intelligent control of agricultural equipment and precise control of input. In 2021, The State Council issued the "14th Five-Year Plan for Promoting Agricultural and Rural Modernization", which pointed out that "to establish and promote the application of agricultural and rural big data systems, to promote the Internet of things, big data, artificial intelligence, blockchain and other new generation of information technologies to integrate deeply with agricultural production and operation, to construct digital countryside, digital irrigation areas and smart (animal husbandry, fishing) farms"


The report to the Party's 20th National Congress pointed out that "we should strengthen the support for agricultural technologies and equipment". In order to better help intelligent agricultural production and management, give full play to scientific and technological equipment, and promote the high-quality development of agriculture, this magazine plans to launch the special topic of "Agricultural information perception and control Technologies". He Yong, editor of the Journal and Director of the Digital Agriculture and Rural Research Center of Zhejiang University and distinguished Professor of Qiushi of Zhejiang University, is specially invited to serve as the editor of this topic. This paper is now open for contributions from experts, scholars, and researchers in related fields.

As a special guest of CCTV's "Dialogue" program on February 26, 2017, he is mainly engaged in the research and teaching of digital agriculture, agricultural Internet of Things, digital countryside and intelligent agricultural equipment. He has presided over more than 50 national 863, National Nature Foundation, European Union Horizon 2020 Project, major consulting research projects of Chinese Academy of Engineering and provincial and ministerial key scientific research projects. He has published more than 400 SCI indexed articles, and more than 20 books and textbooks, including 1 English monographs published by Springer and 1 textbooks for the National 15th and 1 textbook for the National 11th Five-Year Plans. He owns more than 180 invention patents and more than 50 software Copyrights from the United States and Europe. Enjoy the special government allowance of The State Council. Won the commemorative medal for the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the Outstanding Contribution Award for China's agricultural engineering in the 40 years of reform and opening up. He served as the chief editor of Computers and Electronics in Agriculture, the authoritative Journal of Agricultural Engineering indexed by SCI of ELSEVIER Publishing Company, and the founding chief editor of Journal of Agriculture and Food Research. Editorial board members of more than 10 international academic journals such as Food and Bioprocess Technology, and deputy editors and editorial board members of more than 10 domestic academic journals such as Transactions of Agricultural Machinery, Transactions of Agricultural Engineering, Journal of Zhejiang University (Engineering Edition), and Transactions of Agricultural Sciences. Selected as the Outstanding Reviewer of China Sci-Tech Journal Excellence Action Plan 2021.As the Executive Committee, Chapter 2 (Equipment Engineering for Plants) and Chapter 6 (Postharvest Technology and Process Engineering), International Society for Agricultural and Biological Systems Engineering (CIGR), Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Yangtze River Delta Power Innovation Alliance. The course "Fine Agriculture" was awarded the national excellent course, national resource Open course and national first-class course. He has won 1 second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, 5 first prizes and 9 second prizes of Zhejiang Science and Technology Progress Award, 2 first prizes and 4 second prizes of Science and Technology Progress Award of Ministry of Education, 1 first prize of Guangdong Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 first prize of National Teaching Achievement Award, 2 first prizes and 2 second prizes of Provincial Teaching Achievement Award. It has won the Great Beiinong Smart Agriculture Award and China Patent Excellence Award.
