Agricultural machinery driven by new energy such as electric power and solar energy is gradually moving towards the stage of commercial application, and the market demand is growing rapidly. However, new energy agricultural machinery also faces many challenges, such as difficulties in battery life and energy supply, high costs and insufficient standardization and large-scale production. Because of this, many international agricultural machinery enterprises actively participate in the field of new energy agricultural machinery. The "Action Plan for the Development of agricultural machinery Equipment (2016-2025)" lists "clean fuel and new energy agricultural power, electronically controlled injection and new energy tractor" as key host products for development. In August 2024, the Office of the Central Cybersecurity and Information Technology Commission, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other departments jointly issued the "Digital Green Collaborative Transformation Development Guide" clearly pointed out that it is necessary to speed up the research and development and application of intelligent agricultural machinery and equipment, and develop intelligent, efficient and green compound agricultural machinery and equipment according to local conditions. As well as new energy agricultural machinery equipment such as hybrid tractors, facility electric operation equipment, 5G+ hydrogen fuel tractors. With the outstanding advantages of zero pollution and low noise, new energy agricultural machinery equipment is an important tool for promoting green agricultural development, realizing energy conservation and emission reduction, protecting the ecological environment and building livable villages. With the continuous development of intelligent agricultural machinery, unmanned and automatic operation technology of agricultural machinery can effectively improve the accuracy and efficiency of operation.
New energy agricultural machinery replaces fossil fuels with electricity or other new energy sources to become the main power source, and is an emerging force in agricultural equipment.
